Position Overview

To collaborate with trading partners and for managing EDI and API integration projects for trade and logistics.  Experience with CargoWise eAdaptor, ANSI x12 document series 300 and 200, XML, JSON, AS2, sFTP and other hierarchical data types and communication protocols is required.  Additional responsibilities include providing training and documentation for operators and IT support to ensure business continuity, working directly with vendors, customers and staff to implement solutions, and leading integration focused projects.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage projects through a full project lifecycle process, and effectively support related customer needs.
  • Manage the completion of entry-level to mid-level projects.
  • Analyzing EDI and data requirements from customers.
  • Maintains client implementation standards and timelines by applying project management processes.
  • Concurrently work on/with multiple projects, multi-level resolutions teams, and customers to help resolve technical issues from the customer’s and project team’s perspective.
  • Communicates with customers and internal project teams and management appropriate information regarding project and customer requirements, progress, resources, and resolution.
  • Maintains client implementation standards and timelines by applying project management processes.
  • Concurrently work on/with multiple projects, multi-level resolutions teams, and customers to help resolve technical issues from the customer’s and project team’s perspective.
  • Communicates with customers and internal project teams and management appropriate information regarding project and customer requirements, progress, resources, and resolution.
  • Monitor and solve daily error reporting though implementation of automated solutions
  • Provides support and researches solutions for user issues which cannot be resolved through data entry corrections and tier 1 support

 

Education and Experience
  • 2+ years of experience with x12 300 series transaction sets and others relating to transportation including 210—228, 242, etc.
  • 2 years working in Freight Forwarding Industry.
  • 1 year working with CargoWise or other comparable freight and transportation management ERP.
  • Deep understanding of hierarchical data structures.
  • Familiarity with API protocols including SOAP, REST and GraphQL
  • Previous experience working with VAN’s, AS2, sFTP and other communication methods.
Operations Specialist

Position Overview

Performs complex to specialized support to areas of Projects operations, such as identifying operational or service concerns, running operational reports, coordinating appropriate documents, and interfacing with carriers on requirements. Requires full knowledge of customers and carriers, addressing complex or escalated internal/external customer questions and concerns, and providing more customer service, quotes and tracking and tracking needs.

  • Gather necessary information to prepare quote and provide rates and transit options to customers and/or agents for heavy oversized cargo, utilizing ocean/Air/Rail/Barge and Specialized Trucks.
  • Create files, arrange for pickup and obtain shipment documentation necessary for domestic/international transportation, liaison between patties to provide status updates.
  • Follow appropriate work instructions or checklist to create consistency and minimize errors.
  • Enter shipment and bookings details into Cargowise timely and accurately, submit all required documentation from the system (i.e. Master, AES, EDI, Booking confirmations, etc.)
  • Respond to complaints, demonstrate effort to seek help from upper management when needed; respond to customer emails request for shipment status/proof of delivery.
  • Use approved external providers as necessary to arrange transportation of goods.  Quickly resolve any miscommunication and disputes to ensure safe on-time deliveries

 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
  • 3+ years experience with Logistics processes, systems and solutions.
  • Ideally with project/over-dimensional and some heavy lift experience.
  • Familiar with ocean import/export and domestic transport.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills; ability to actively listen and respond to questions with complete and accurate answers

Position Overview

The pricing specialist is a key resource to provide pricing solutions to customers through the sales and account management channels. The pricing specialist uses information resources regarding customer needs, historical data, market conditions, and internal targets to prepare pricing quotes and/or internal proposals regarding pricing.

  • Negotiate pricing with carriers, manage price quotes to customers and perform cost analysis.
