Position Overview:

This role is primarily responsible for communication and arranging of ocean export transportation to meet customer needs. The Ocean Export Specialist will track and update the movement of freight and ensure compliance with clearance regulations. Ensure customer satisfaction, work efficiently, professionally, and maximize profits by minimizing potential for error and upselling other services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process all cargo on a daily basis, including overseas communication and customer service as needed with a focus on Export Compliance
  • Work closely with Steam Ship Lines to secure movement of cargo efficiently to meet client’s expectations
  • Understand the processes, documentation, and terminology involved in international shipping from time of purchase order issuance through the delivery of the cargo
  • Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes and to create solutions in response to challenges both internally and externally
  • Coordinate tasks on the shipments to meet all customer SOP requirements: booking approvals, processing pre-alerts, governmental filings, executing delivery, ensuring proper invoicing, etc.

Education and/or work experience:

  • Minimum 5 Years Operational Knowledge of Ocean Exports
  • Experience using CargoWise
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent communication & listening skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Position Overview:

This position is expected to manage and/or support initiatives for continuous improvement in current and future CargoWise modules and projects as determined by the company. The successful candidate for this role will take ownership of the development and deployment of these projects, communicate on progress and met deadlines as decided by the company. This position is critical to the continued efficient use of our CargoWise operating system.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help develop project plans for assigned projects
  • Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project

Position Overview:

 The Ocean Export Documentation & Customer Service Specialist is a position primarily responsible for filing entry documents, tracking and updating the movement of freight, and ensuring compliance with export clearance regulations set forth by the U.S. CBP and other government agencies. This individual will also coordinate between vendors, customers, and partners to process shipments. 

Duties and Responsibilities:


•  Coordinate and arrange ocean export services on behalf of shippers and international destination offices/agents from end to end. 

• Create files, arrange for pick up and obtain shipment documentation necessary for domestic or international transportation, liaison between parties to provide status updates. 

• Enter shipment and booking details timely and accurately; submit all required documentation from the system i.e. AES, EDI, Master, booking confirmation etc. 

• Communicate with various contacts (customers, vendors, partners, and more) in processing shipments. 

• Negotiate rates with vendors as required 

• Execute invoicing and closing of files as per established guidelines and KPI’s 

• Provide daily activity reports to management. 

• Other ad-hoc projects as requested by management 

Education and/or work experience:

• Minimum 5 years’ Ocean Export Operations

• Strong communication & customer service skills

• Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize

• Ability to negotiate rates with vendors

• Bilingual in English/Spanish

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• CargoWise experience preferred

Description & Requirements

Position Overview –

To ensure total customer satisfaction on the operations side of the ocean export business by handling shipments from open to close. Duties include procuring rates, submitting quotations, making bookings, setting up inland pickups, creating shipments in Cargo Wise, and closing them out with the final billing. To look after export shipments efficiently, professionally, and maximize profits by working in the smartest possible manner with minimal mistakes.

Duties & Responsibilities –

  • Issue Final Fracht Invoice within 72hrs of actual arrival date at destination
  • Requesting quotations from Fracht’s approved vendor List
  • Negotiating rates with our approved vendors negotiable
  • Quote shipments
  • Monitoring our approved vendor’s performances
  • Sales and customer service; all employees are to answer phones, emails, and represent themselves in a respectful and professional manner
  • All coordinators are required to have status check lists on their files and keep them up to date daily
  • Handle day-to-day operations as needed
  • Perform daily accounting activities to close out the file

Requirements –

Minimum 3 years’ operational experience in ocean export, preferably with an international logistics provider 

• Cargo Wise experience 

• Strong customer service skills and be a team player 

• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills 

Knowledge and experience in PC and Mainframe, spreadsheets and database (Excel, Word) applications 

Ability to communicate with clients, carriers, other forwarders, vendors, and all related parties concerning the import process 

Handle shipments from open to close. Must be able to quote on a shipment, handle the day to day operational activities and close out the file in accounting 

• Strong work ethic, accountability & communication skills 

• The ability to multitask and prioritize 

• Supervisory experience preferred
