Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Receive and process all cargo on a daily basis, including overseas communication and customer

• Work closely with Steam Ship Lines to secure movement of cargo efficiently to meet client’s 

• expectations 

• Understand the processes, documentation, and terminology involved in international shipping 

from time of purchase order issuance through the delivery of the cargo 

• Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes and to create solutions in 

• response to challenges both internally and externally 

Coordinate tasks on the shipments to meet all customer SOP requirements: booking approvals, 

processing pre-alerts, governmental filings, executing delivery, ensuring proper invoicing, etc. 

• Negotiate rates with vendors as required 

• Execute invoicing and closing of files as per established guidelines and KPI’s 

Education and/or work experience:

Experience with export operation process A-Z including invoicing 

• Knowledge of AES / FMC 

• Experience handling DG CARGO 

• Knowledge of KPIs and is process driven 

• Great customer service skills 

• Experience using CargoWise 

• Strong Ability to Multitask 

• OOG / RORO / breakbulk experience is a plus

Rail Operations Manager

Position Overview:

Performs complex to specialized support to areas of Projects Operations, such as identifying operational or service concerns, running operational reports, coordinating appropriate documents, and interfacing with railways on requirements. Requires full knowledge of railway procedures, addressing complex or escalated internal/external questions and concerns, and providing more customer service and tracking and tracking needs.

 

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gather necessary information for each rail project including rail route cleared along with the timeline, communicate with the team if there is something missing to be ready prior to the loading date and project lounge.

• Request empty cars according with Clearance and Fracht fleet management, with estimated 30 days in advance to the loading date.

• Follow the Rail Operations procedures, work instructions and checklist for each file to minimize errors, file electronically all the operational documentation for each file.

• Interfacing with different departments and provide daily track and trace to the personal involved in the project.

• Respond to complaints, demonstrate effort to seek help from upper management when needed; respond to emails request for shipment status/proof of delivery.

• Interact with different railways with respect and open service problems to each railway for customer support and notification on HW loads

• Release empty railcars and assigned to new projects if required.

• Monitor the railways and routes for derailments that could cause longer transit time.

Education and/or work experience:

• 6+ years’ experience with railways processes, systems and solutions.

• Ideally with High wide loads experience.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access)

As the Import Account Representative, responsible for the full range of import operations, client management and administrative tasks.
