Fracht Mexico

In continuation of our strategy to expand our global network in key markets, we are excited to announce the inauguration of the first FRACHT office in Mexico (Mexico-City). Mexico is the 2nd largest economy in Latin America after Brazil and the 15th largest economy in the world with a nominal GDP of USD 1.22 trillion! In addition to the USMCA trade agreement, which replaced NAFTA in 2018, Mexico has 13 other trade agreements in place, including 7 in Latin America. The total value of exports and imports of goods and services amount to about 80% of GDP.

We will be operating as FRACHT LOGISTICS MEXICO and will take over the book of business as well as the team of VALMIK LOGISTICS MEXICO a young start-up company in the forwarding industry in Mexico. Our newest member of the FRACHT family will be led by Karina Lerma who founded VALMIK in 2020. Karina has extensive Logistics & Supply Chain experience. She started her career at Panalpina Monterrey in 1997 and joined Kuehne + Nagel Mexico in 1998, where she held various management positions in operations and business development over a period 19 years, including 7 years as Vice President of Sea freight & Project Logistics. Between 2017 and early 2020 she was Managing Director and Partner of C-Logistics Mexico a local 3PL and 4PL service provider. With her extensive knowledge of the Mexican forwarding and logistics market combined with her and her team’s focus on operational excellence we will have a competent and quality driven set-up in this important developing country!
